yeah!!! great!! but i need some help...i'm a newbie on recording using mixer+RCA cables, Speakers plug it to the laptop....i can control it using the mixer and it is recording the sound i produce but when i sing i here my voice delayed and it confuses me especially when it comes to hitting the right tempo of the song...what's the best thing to do? im using audacity also....

Although this will work, for most home recording applications it might be better to purchase a little interface instead of a mixing board. Something like maybe an Edirol FA-66 or similar. It will have a much better soundcard than the stock card in a consumer computer. And it will also have the capability of plugging in both 1/4" as well as XLR; has decent little pre-amps. You won't need a mixer, and this will give MUCH better recordings due to the higher quality Digital/Audio converters.

Hey im real new to this but i have a pioneer 707 mixer and am confused as to where the "tape out" section is? And i dont have a mic or guitar just serato 1.9.

wait i was using a chord that i thought was the rca but i figured it was yellow and white, not red and white, probably from my camcorderdoes it matter if its yellow instead of red?

finally i get itafter watching this video 90 times i figured it outi have a four way channel microphone mixerso what i have to do is connect the microphones to the mixer, then the mixer to the computer(with the rca cable) and use it with a recording program, and i can also connect it to my guitar and... and...holy shit THANK YOU

@DatSh0rTy Make sure the mic is turned up in your sound settings for the computer.
